We discovered Portugal (and beyond) in silence and sustainably
Invite Portugal · 100% Electric Private Transfers · inviteportugal.com
There's something special about the moment when a car starts and you hear nothing.
There is no purr of a diesel engine. There is no smell of fuel. Just the smooth sound.
Gliding along the asphalt, the landscape beginning to rush past the window, and the feeling that this trip is going to be different from the others.
This is how every Invite Portugal transfer begins.
A map that tells a story.
Since we began our operations in 2022, we have traveled thousands of kilometers on the roads of Portugal and Spain. If you were to see the map of the destinations we have served, you would be surprised by the size of the territory we have covered — and by the diversity of stories left behind on each of these trips.
To the north, we already transport passengers along the roads that climb up to Galicia — Santiago de
Compostela, A Coruña, Pontevedra, Vigo — crossing the Minho River and entering a land
Made of granite, greenery, and silence, it feels like a natural extension of our own country.
We crossed the Douro River from end to end, passing through centuries-old vineyards where the wine...

In the center, we travel through the Serra da Estrela mountain range, take families to Coimbra, passengers from
Business trips to Viseu, curious travelers to Aveiro and its saltwater lagoon and moliceiros (traditional boats).
colorful.
From Lisbon, we descended to the Alentejo, with its golden plains and castles.
Medieval settings and the tranquility that only the interior of Portugal can offer. We arrive in the Algarve, from Faro to Sagres, with its orange cliffs and turquoise seas.
And then there are the great Iberian routes — those that truly showcase what our electric fleet is capable of. Salamanca, with its medieval University and golden Plaza Mayor. Seville, to the south, with its orange groves and the Guadalquivir River. And at the opposite end of the Peninsula, San Sebastián — the Donostia of the Basques, with its beaches, Art Nouveau architecture, and the best gastronomy in Europe — a route that few Portuguese operators dare to undertake, but which we have already done.
Each destination, a different story. Each passenger, a different reason for being there.
on the road.
"But can a streetcar get there?"
It's the question we get asked most often. And we understand—the idea that...
Electric vehicles are only suitable for short urban trips; it's still too much.
It's deeply rooted in the collective imagination. But reality has changed, and changed a lot.

Our fleet consists of state-of-the-art electric vehicles, with real-world ranges that easily reach 500 to 600 kilometers per charge under normal driving conditions. Even longer routes such as Porto–Seville or Porto–San Sebastián are perfectly feasible with one or two strategic charging stops.
And here's a secret that those who have traveled with us already know: the charging stop isn't an inconvenience—it's an opportunity. It's a break to stretch your legs, have a coffee, explore a village you might otherwise never have discovered. The waiting time at a fast charger? Typically between 20 and 30 minutes. Our drivers know every charging point along the route, know exactly where and when to stop, and ensure a stress-free and surprise-free journey. For the passenger, the experience is simply more relaxed—and you arrive at your destination more rested than on a conventional trip.
Why a streetcar? Because it matters!
The choice of an electric fleet was not just a business decision. It was a statement.
of values.
Portugal is a country of such beauty that it makes us feel compelled to accept it. The landscapes that our
Passengers crossing — the Douro, the Alentejo, the Gerês, the Algarve coast — deserve to be Preserved. Every trip we take on the tram is a trip with zero direct emissions.
CO2 levels, without excessive noise, and without pollution in the historic city centers through which
We passed.
But the benefits go beyond the environment. Traveling by electric car is, objectively, a more comfortable experience: no engine vibrations, no smells, with a smoother and quieter ride that invites conversation, contemplation of the landscape, or simply falling asleep while Portugal passes by the window.
Responsible tourism is not a fad — it's a choice!
At Invite Portugal, we believe that tourism has the power to transform destinations.
For better or for worse. The way we move is part of that equation.
Choosing an electric transfer instead of a combustion engine vehicle is not a sacrifice — it's a smart, comfortable, and conscious choice. It's traveling along National Road 2 in absolute silence. It's arriving in Évora without contributing to the pollution of its Praça do Giraldo. It's crossing the Douro River and leaving the valley exactly as we found it.
Our passengers are not just traveling from A to B. They are traveling in a way...
which makes sense — for them, for their destinations, and for those who will come next.
